1- That Luang – Vientiane

Built in 1566, That Luang or That Luang is an armored Buddha tower in the shape of a bottle of wine, on the ruins of an Indian temple during the reign of King Xet – tha – thi – Lat in the 13th century.

That Luang or Dai Bao Thap is designed with a square base of 90m x 90m, a height of 45m, in the center of the tower is a towering cube like an arrow pointing straight up to the sky. The base is stylized into a golden lotus, the wings are spread out in all directions. All exteriors are plated with magnificent and magnificent gold, forming a special and typical highlight of the whole Tower.

2-Patuxai Arc de Triomphe –Vientiane

To commemorate the heroes and martyrs who died in the resistance war against the French invaders in Laos, the Patuxai Arch was built in 1957 and completed only a year later.

With a height of about 55m, including 4 sides, each side is 24m wide, the Arch of Patuxai has 7 towers and 2 sub floors. Although modeled after the French architecture, the triumphal arch still exudes the typical features of Lao culture, such as the images of reliefs and decorative motifs that can only be seen in Lao architecture.

3-Lao National Museum

The Lao National Museum is a work built in the French style. Built in 1925, the museum has so far stored many memorabilia with deep historical significance. This building has just opened since 2000 and is home to more than 8000 artifacts including: archeology, biology, ethnography and history.

Going to the upper floor of the museum, you will find exhibits depicting the tumultuous period of Laos’ history from the invasion of Siam, the French colonial period, and even images of the American army that invaded. in Vietnam.

 4-The Plain of Jars – Xieng Khuang

Field of Jars – Xieng Khuang has thousands of stone jars scattered throughout the valley and low fields of the plateau. These stone jars are often located in clusters, with the number from few to many, with clusters of up to several hundred jars.

Specifically, there are about 2,000 jars here, divided into 52 clusters. Each jar has different sizes, but most are about 1 to 2m high, average weight is about 600kg to 1 ton. Some of the largest can be up to 3m tall and weigh about 14 tons. Although the number of stone jars here is very large, at present only 3 places have been zoned and put into operation as a tourist service, namely Ban Sua, Ban Ang and Lat Sen. Other areas due to unexploded ordnance have not been put into operation to ensure the safety of tourists. Therefore, you should only go to the clusters that are allowed by the signs when coming here.

 5-Kuang Si Waterfall – Luang Prabang

Located only about 29 km south of Luang Prabang city center, Kuang Si waterfall is a complex consisting of 3 waterfalls, of which the main and largest waterfall is about 60 meters high, with rushing water. rushing down from above, forming white foam, mist flying, painting an extremely impressive scene among the vast green trees of the mountains and forests.

With no water flowing down from the vertical cliffs, Kuang Si waterfall is the image of small waterfalls, similar to the terraced fields commonly found in the northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam. The water source at all the steps of the small waterfall pours and stretches, forming extremely unique natural swimming pools. What makes Kuang Si special is that the water from upstream carries a huge amount of algae, making these lakes dyed a cool jade green, full of charm.

By nature, each cascade here creates a natural swimming pool. At the bottom of the pool is a layer of white mud, so you can easily move and immerse yourself in the water for hours without fear of slipping. You can also stand at the foot of the waterfall, let the water flow directly on you, or jump from the high waterfall gradually down to the lower cascades.
