DAY BY DAY

Vietnam possesses a hidden, endless beauty that has never ceased to be attractive to domestic and foreign tourists.

DAY 1 - Hanoi, visit the hidden heritage and cyclo to see The Old Quarter

On arrival at the airport at 11:00 AM, you will be welcomed and picked up by our guide. Then transfer to downtown Hanoi. We begin our day by visiting the Museum of Ethnology, then lunch is served at a local restaurant for a taste of authentic Hanoi Pho (noodle soup). Next stop is the nearby Temple of Literature, the site of Vietnam's first University. Here we also have a chance to see a traditional music performance.In the late afternoon, take a cyclo trip around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi´s fascinating Old Quarter. This is your chance to be in the midst of typical Hanoi an life and Vietnamese culture. We finish our relaxing but informative day by attending a Water Puppet Show - a favorite experience for all visitors to Vietnam. Then we will have a Hanoi street food tour by walking around streets to taste local food then just spend the evening enjoying a drink with a view of the city. Back to hotel in the evening.

DAY 2 - Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Trang An Grotto

Depart from your hotel at 8:30 AM and transfer 100 km (2.5 hours) to Ninh Binh. Relax on a local rowboat trip as soon as we arrive at Trang An. Meander within the karst landscape and float through some local caves. Later, local Vietnamese food will be served for lunch. After lunch, you will start cycling from Dich Long Bridge and bike on the dyke of Van Long Nature Reserve. You will see caves, green rice fields, limestone peaks and the rural life of the locals. Then come back to homestay for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - Hoa Lu - Dinh and Le Temples - Tam Coc - Thai Vi Temple - Bich Dong Pagoda – Hanoi – flight to Danang – transfer to Hoian

After breakfast, you will start cycling on the countryside road to Hoa Lu, an ancient citadel of Vietnam dating back to the 10th Century. You will stop here in order to visit Dinh and Le Temples, as well as NhatTru Pagoda or the One Pillar Pagoda which is reached on foot. Then you will continue riding through the limestone peaks to Tam Coc, passing rice paddies and rural villages.You will have lunch in Tam Coc near the boat pier before continuing biking to explore Tam Coc, Thai Vi Temple, Bich Dong Pagoda and more. Then, you will have to transfer from Ninh Binh to the Airport for a 1 hour flight from Hanoi to Danang.

DAY 4 - Hoian Free

Arrival Da Nang, station pick up upon arrival at around 12:00 PM then transfer to Hoian for about 30’. Early check in hotel if it is subject to availability and your free day in Hoian to do your own things.

DAY 5 - Half day cooking class. Free in the afternoon

We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 3863210) – our meeting point. Visit Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy. On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 meter swimming pool - towels and showers provided. Back to the hotel and afternoon free on your own.

DAY 6 - Hoian Free – flight to HCM City then to Phu Quoc island

Breakfast at the hotel. Your free time in Hoian before your transfer to the airport in Da Nang for HCM City. Then connect flight to Phu Quoc island

DAY 7,8 - Phu Quoc island free day

Free day at Phu Quoc island. Optional to take snorkeling trips.

DAY 9 - Departure HCM City

Breakfast at the hotel and check out before 12:00 noon. Then transfer to airport at Phu Quoc island for flight to HCM city. There you will have another flight home at 12:05 on 7 Mar. Goodbye, and hope to see you again soon!
