Day 1: Ha Noi arrival 

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon your arrival in Hanoi capital, our guide and driver will greet and escort you to your hotel for check – in. The rest of the afternoon is for you to get rid of the jet lag and have a rest. In the evening, our guide will help you get acquainted with colorful Hanoi Old Quarters by walking and tasting Vietnamese street dishes. After that, our guide will escort you back to your hotel.

Day 2: Ha Noi – Sightseeing

8.30: Today you will visit Hanoi City main attractions including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. Vietnamese lunch will be served at KoTo restaurant around 1PM.

In the afternoon, you will visit Museum of Ethnology and cycle through the Old Quarter of Hanoi (by Rickshaw) (about 1hr), next stop is holy Ngoc Son Temple built on the Jade Island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake. End the activities of today by enjoying a Water Puppet Show to understand more about the Vietnamese art. After that, your guide and driver escort you back to your hotel.

Day 3: Ha Noi – Ninh Binh

8.00: Today we drive around 2 – hour out of present Hanoi Capital to the Southwest to visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Viet Nam under Dinh & Le Dynasty in 10th century and Bai Dinh pagoda complex, the largest one in Southeast Asia with hundreds of different sized Buddha statues. Here you will gain the deep understanding of worshipping culture and Buddhism practice in Vietnam.

Your lunch will be served at the local restaurant with the special dishes of the region such as grilled goat meat, fresh spring roll… etc.

After lunch, take an amazing rowing boat trip around 2.5 hours on a peaceful river to admire Trang An’s spectacular grottoes and landscapes. In late afternoon, get on our car and drive shortly to a beautiful village in Tam Coc for staying overnight at a rustic homestay.

Day 4: Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay

Today we enjoy breakfast a little bit earlier than usual then bid farewell to the host family.

7.30: Get on our car and pass through many beautiful villages, bridges and typical countryside landscapes of Red River Delta Region to the World Heritage Site of Ha long bay, where you get on the boat and then enjoy welcome drink. Take your time to relax on sundeck until fresh seafood lunch is served.  It will be a real ocean adventure this afternoon as our boat is cruising through nearly 2 thousand limestone islands dotted the sea and you have great chance to admire a lot of traditional sampans, sailing boats, grottoes, thick forests and hidden caves. After lunch, a variety of optional activities like kayaking, swimming, diving will add more fun to your Halong trip.

Day 5:  Ha Long Bay – Ha Noi

Today morning continue your unforgettable Ha long bay cruise by visiting stunning Luon cave by rowing boat until a big brunch is served. After brunch, disembark the cruiser at around 11.30 am. Your guide and driver will meet you at the pier then drive back to Hanoi. On the half way, if you wish to visit some Pottery factories, Ceramic villages or Handicraft Centrals, there are many! Here, at the workshops, you may be amazed at the sophisticated artworks designed well by skillful craftsmen, a good opportunity to buy some souvenirs for relatives and friends. After visiting these places, you continue your journey back to your hotel in Hanoi. Your Halong bay trip ends at your hotel around 4 PM.

Day 6: Ha Noi – Dong Hoi town – Explordise Paradise Cave and Dark Cave

Today you have early breakfast then have a transfer to Noi Bai domestic airport to take a short flight (55minutes) to Dong Hoi Town. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will pick you up then start your adventure to Paradise Cave, the largest dry Cave in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, you will have picnic lunch afterwards. Next, you will enjoy the Zipline to discover dark Cave where the water is green all year round and always cold. It is so interesting while you make zipline to swim in the river and see a part of ecosystem in Phong Nha Cave and National Park. Besides you also go kayaking on Chay River to explore the nicest landscape as well as get more adventurous time. In addition, you will have chance to relax with mud bathing. After discovering the unique beauty here, you will have a short transfer to your resort for check – in.

Day 7: Discover the mysterious depth (4.500m) of Phong Nha Cave.

8.30: Today we have a short drive to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and then board your private boat for exploring (approx 5km) along the Son River to the Phong Nha Cave. You will enter the mystical tunnels filled with mighty stalactites and stalagmites that make you feel like lost in the fairyland until noon time. You will have picnic lunch before discovering the Xuyen Son Ho, the biggest cave in Asia. After full afternoon discovery of the most beautiful cave in Viet Nam, we drive back to the resort for staying overnight.

Day 8: Dong Hoi – Ancient Citadel of Hue

Today we will drive through some historical places of Vietnam during 2 wars against US and French armies such as Hien Luong Bridge crossing Ben Hai River, The Old DMZ (Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone) and Vinh Moc Tunnels where we stop to visit and hear the locals tell how hard their people had worked and lived during these wars. And why? This legendary land was chosen to be the Border between the North and the South of Vietnam. We will then have lunch on the way before driving more than 2 – hour to Hue. Check – in to your hotel and free to explore ancient Hue in the evening.

Day 9: Hue – Sightseeing

Today will be an exciting day for you to explore the romantic manner of Hue residents, the ancient architecture of royal Tombs and the majesty of Imperial Citadel.

After breakfast, you will gently ride the bicycle through the Truong Tien Bridge to visit the Royal Tomb of King Ming Mang. Then sail on the Perfume River by Royal Dragon Boat (Royal lunch will be served on boat) to the Thiên Mụ Pagoda, the most significant pagoda to Hue residents, the Buddhism central of Hue. Next, transfer to visit Imperial Citadel and Forbidden Purple City. Later on, visit the bustling Dong Ba Market before biking back to your hotel along the bank of Perfume River.

Day 10: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An 

After a relaxing breakfast we head for Hoi An ancient town. On the way, we stop to visit amazing Hai Van Pass, Non Nuoc Beach, Cham Museum, and Marble Mountain. Have lunch at local restaurant in Danang before going to Hoi An town. Arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon, check – in to your hotel and relax.

Day 11: Hoi An – My Son holy land – Hoi An ancient town

This morning we depart for the My Son holy land to see the remains of Kingdom of Champa. The towers and temples which inhabit this area provide an insight into the spiritual and religious beliefs of the Cham people. Unfortunately, many of the relics have been damaged by years of war and time but this relic has often been compared to the ruins of Angkor in Cambodia, Pagan in Myanmar and Ayutthaya in Thailand. Indeed, the site has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After spending full morning at the holy land, you will have lunch at the local restaurant and then leave My Son back to Hoi An to visit Japanese Bridge, renowned Chinese Temple, and former Vietnamese merchant’s house. late afternoon enjoy leisure walk around the ancient town before returning to your hotel.

Day 12: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh (Sai Gon)

You have breakfast at the hotel then free for leisure till your guide and driver meet you and escort you to Da Nang airport for short flight to Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will meet and escort you to the hotel for check – in. The rest of the day is on your own.

Day 13: Sai Gon – Sightseeing 

This morning we set out for the incredible underground Cu Chi Tunnel system of approximately 200 kilometers length which was hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerrilla during the long struggle for independence. Here we will understand deeply about the Vietnam & American War. Visiting Cu Chi Tunnels is a must – see Tour for any tourists to learn about Vietnam and American war.

Early afternoon we drive back to Ho Chi Minh city central for lunch and then visit the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace), Ben Thanh Market, Old Saigon Post Office and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat).  After visiting the main attractions of this bustling city, it is so interesting to stroll around with your own pace before getting on your car back to the hotel.

Day 14: Sai Gon – Cai Be – Sai Gon

8.00: Today we will enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrival at My Tho, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a most attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by locals. Visit a family business that is considered to epitomizes the idyllic lifestyle of residents here. Taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the rural life as you roam through the fruit plantation area and villages. Meet our vehicle and return to Sai Gon.

Here are some general information about the meals during your trip with us.

Normally Viet Bridge legend’s tours include two meals each day during tour: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice however, if you stay at the local homestay or have adventure tours to remote areas. We arrange dinner for you.

Breakfast

It is normally served at the hotel, local homestay with different styles depending where you stay. For instance it would be western style, local style or combination as buffet breakfast. However for the adventure tours, we arrange breakfast for you at the local restaurant to help you can taste favorite dishes at each region that you pass by.

Lunch

Lunches are usually set menu at local restaurant. However, you can easily change the menu or some dishes depending on your taste. We always update and inspect all the restaurants carefully before ordering food for you to make sure you will have the most fresh and hygienic food.

Dinner

Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have adventure tours, homestay tours or special requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in “tasty” Indochina area. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your tour guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences
