This Viet Bridge Legend‘s trip takes you to explore three UNESCO’s Heritage Sites in the central part of Viet Nam: Hoi An, the sixteenth century silk route trading port; My Son holy land, the sacred remain of the ancient Cham civilization, and Hue – the ancient citadel which is preserved intact, was built by the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam in the years of 1820.

Day 1: Hue arrival
Upon your arrival at the airport/ train station in Hue, you will be warmly welcome by Viet Bridge Legend’ tour guide and then have a short transfer to your hotel in Hue’s center for check – in. In midafternoon you will commence the half day trip by riding the cyclo through the beautiful small streets of Hue to the ancient Citadel, where the Vietnam last dynasty Kings ruled. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, namely from outside to inside, you will visit the Capital Citadel, Royal Citadel and Forbidden Citadel, with the help from your knowledgeable guide, will surely bring you back to one of the golden time of Vietnam history. The cyclo will then bring you back to Hue’s modern life with a visit to the nearby Dong Ba Market, the right place to witness Hue’s food and culture. Here you will also impress with the maintenance of ancient characteristics, with the local handicraft – conical hats as a sample. Leaving the Market behind, you will head for a nice restaurant, where you will enjoy Hue’s tradition food. The cyclo will be waiting for you at the restaurant for transferring you to the hotel.

Day 2: Hue city tour (B/L)

Hue, which always has been a cultural and historical important center for Vietnam, is one the main tourist attractions in Vietnam.

At 8h00, together with your guide, you will have a transfer to visit the Khai Dinh Tomb, which built in early of the 20th Century and has different style to other Royal Tombs. The next visit is to Tu Duc Tomb. Emperor Tu Duc had the longest reign of all in the Nguyen Dynasty. His Tomb, constructed as his wishes, was a fairy land with poetical features. You will then go to the nearby Port and get on the Dragon Boat and start the cruise on the beautiful Perfume River. After you enjoy a royal lunch on board, you will disembark and visit the Thien Mu pagoda, which is the most significant to Hue residents – the Buddhism Central of this city. From the Pagoda you will have a transfer to the Chi Lang Ancient Streets. You will have a walk along the old houses before ending the today tour at your homestay.

Day 3: Hue – My Son – Hoi An (B/L)

You will depart early for Danang with a break on the top of Hai Van (Sea and Cloud) Pass to enjoy the picturesque view of the sea, sand beach and mountain. In Danang you visit the Cham Museum, where you can see the vestiges of the Cham’s once glorious past, which are displayed in ten showrooms named after where the pieces were discovered.

The next visit is to Marble Mountain, which is famous for its amazing landscape. Here you also visit the stone village of Non Nuoc for learning how the local skillful sculptors create marble produces.

After having lunch at a local restaurant in Danang, you have a transfer to the ancient ruins of My Son, situated about 75kms southwest of Danang, the once glorious holy land of the Champa Kingdom, is Vietnam ‘s most important ancient historical site. The towers and temples which inhabit this area provide an insight into the spiritual and religious beliefs of the Cham people. Unfortunately, many of the relics have been damaged by years of war but the site has often been compared to the ruins of Angkor in Cambodia, Pagan in Myanmar and Ayuthaya in Thailand. Indeed, the site has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Leaving My Son for Hoi An in Midafternoon. Hoi An town is the hospitable land where the locals always consider you as their family members. Your last today work to complete is to check – in to your homestay and relax.

Day 4: Hoi An – Boat trip to traditional handicraft villages (B/L)

You will commence the full day excursion today by a short walk down to the harbor of Hoi An. Here you will get on board a wooden boat and have an upstream cruise to Thanh Ha, a local Pottery village on the bank of the Thu Bon River. Thanh Ha village is famous for making tiles, pots, vases. The old tradition and skills are kept, and the local contractors are the only one who can restore bricks, tiles and floors in the old town of Hoi An. 

 After having a walk around the village, you will take the cruise across the river and continue going upstream to the carpentry village of Kim Bong. Kim Bong has over the centuries influence in the architectures of the ancient town of Hoi An. Here in Kim Bong, the old carpentry skills are kept alive and still used for restoring the old buildings in the old town of Hoi An.

From Kim Bong village you will take a bicycle ride around the Island, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. After one hour of bicycle ride around the island, you will get on board for the cruise downstream to Thanh Nam fishing village, where you will have a walk around the small town, visiting a small exhibition near the river. You will also be able to see the old traditional fishing tools used generation after generation; some of them are still used by the local fisherman. You will then head back by boat to the ancient town of Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An departure

Today you are free for relaxing or exploring Hoi An ancient town until your tour guide and driver come to escort you to Da Nang Airport to take flight back home. End THE HERITAGE ROAD – 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS TRIP organized by Viet Bridge Legend.

Here are some general information about the meals during your trip with us.

Normally Viet Bridge legend’s tours include two meals each day during tour: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice however, if you stay at the local homestay or have adventure tours to remote areas. We arrange dinner for you.


It is normally served at the hotel, local homestay with different styles depending where you stay. For instance it would be western style, local style or combination as buffet breakfast. However for the adventure tours, we arrange breakfast for you at the local restaurant to help you can taste favorite dishes at each region that you pass by.


Lunches are usually set menu at local restaurant. However, you can easily change the menu or some dishes depending on your taste. We always update and inspect all the restaurants carefully before ordering food for you to make sure you will have the most fresh and hygienic food.


Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have adventure tours, homestay tours or special requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in “tasty” Indochina area. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your tour guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences
